Arena is Kirin's room

Rules:
1. New rule: you can only kill off one contestant per 24hrs
2. If you realize your post breaks the storyline (usually because someone posted while you're writing) just go edit your post or change it to "..."
3. No raise or reraise because when you die, Kirin immediately eats you.
4. Anyone can add to the story--you can write what other people do, and people who aren't characters in the story can add to it too, readers can kill off contestants etc.

Final Fantasy Story Thread VI
BATTLE ROYAL

The fans are screaming. They can view the arena from above. Kirin is hosting this year's Battle Royal, and the competition is insane. The strongest representatives of each job have made it to this final competition through many rounds of tournaments. The winner gets to become Kirin's right-hand man, or woman, or taru. or galka. or mithra. or elvaan.

The competitors are waiting by the telepad to warp into the arena. It takes all their energy not to kill each other then and there. But they all know the true prize of being Kirin's 5th god is worth it.

The first participant to the arena is Whisp the White Mage. His silvery onion hair is gelled up very high today. His noble's tunic is hot off the ironing board. He has been practicing his magic and abilities intensely for this occasion. And today, he has decided to sub red mage.

Kirin, dressed in a fine Tuxedo made by Jeuno's finest clothcrafters, announces the battle. Whisp is called into the arena. He spits into the air, gives a ferocious tarutaru snarl and enters the telepad and begins buffing himself furiously.

Next into match is Ryuuji, the orange haired Samurai from the nation of Bastok. Weilding his freshly sharpened katana and shining Artifact Armor, with Ranger subjob he'll be able to hit anyone on the battlefield.

He steps onto the telepad and removes his katana from the scabbard, brandishing it at his tiny taru adversairy. He gives Whisp a grin then turns his attention to the auddience, psyching them up with a few /emotes. This will turn out to be an exciting match.

Hearing the thunderous noise from the stadium, you hear the announcer shouting out the next participant, Kados the dragoon. Hearing the name Kados, sends goosebumps down his back. Looking from the ground up, he psychs himself up. The fury in his eyes is only matched by his skill in the polearm.

Practicing for years, the art of polearm and jump, he has well mastered it. Having just slained Proto-Omega last week. Kados became fortunate enough to find that a pair of Homam Gambieras was hidden within a bush. Feeling more confident then ever. His sub job of choice this evening is white mage.

Walking up to the shimmering glow of the telepad, he slightly turns his head backwards, and gestures with his right hand for Wirbelwind to join him.

Reaching the center of the telepad, Kados kneels down on one knee. The telepad soon radiates a blue glow and instanteously, Kados is now welcomed by the aura of the stadium.

Thinking to himself. I must be that fifth god no matter what.

Whisp, being the tiny weak taru healer that he is, quickly teams up with Ryuuji and Kados and gives them buffs.

Armani, the blacked haired Red Mage from San d'Oria, is determined to make a name for himself. He is a little nervous as the matches draw to a close, but is confident enough that he will win and become a God.

He choses to support his abilities with Ninja, and uses two swords and all Ninjutsu available to him.

Feeling a mystical force around him. Kados feels himself being buffed. Turning around, he notices a white mage. One of them ankle biter, tarutaru type. Giving the taru Whisp a nod of approval, kados smiles and turns his head. Knowing that kindness should never be mistaken for weakness, and never underestimate the opponent.

Tracezero, the open-legged manthra whore from San d'Oria, classed as a Corsair, walks into the battlefield, gun at the ready, he pulls out his gun and aims it at <t>

Then remembers he sucks at RPing x.x

Edit: Forgot to mention I have a badass cape too. Its like; Tracezero's long black cape sways in the wind as he walks into the battlefield. Even though there isn't wind in Kirin's room... It's still sexy

Always the late one, Dmitry flees to the teleporter. His support job of choice is ninja, and he has just come from practicing his marksmanship, trying to keep it on par for this event. Hearing his name announced, he anxiously approaches the teleporter. All that is on his mind right now are the spoils that await him at the end of this match.

Upon entering the arena, Dmitry notices the Whisp-Ryuuji-Kados trio and feels a slight fear arising within him. Glancing around, he notices a red mage and motions for his assistance...

As Tracezero walks in, grinning at the cheering crowd, and spots a WHM casting buff spells on a DRG, and a RDM using dual swords, and a retarded THF just standing there. He quickly pulls out his gun, and makes a shot for the unsuspecting THF. Boom! Headshot! Dmitry dies.

Kirin laughs at this request and says fight on.

Whisp looks up at his buffs and sees he has stoneskin, blink, phalanx, haste, enthunder, protect4 and shell4. He rests his MP to full and decides this is as good a time as any.

Whisp runs up behind Tracezero, draws his weapon and casts Flash...
he turns around and looks to the samurai Ryuuji and the dragoon Kados for help

Tracezero counter's Whisp by casting Bind, then running out of Whisp's range so he's unable to hit Tracezero. Tracezero then follows up his Bind with Poison 2 and Bio 2, and Whisp's Bind wears off, and he charges for Tracezero, Trace pulls out his scythe, and swings at whisp...

Tracezero laughs maniacly, and see's this as an oppurtunity to team up with Dmitry and dispose of Whisp. Tracezero invites Dmitry to his pt and uses; Warcry, Last Resort, and Berserk, then Weapon Bashes Whisp to stun him for a few precious moments.
