afterall WoW requires you logout every few hours and let your char 'rest' so this time could be used playing FFXI
You don't need to "rest", just the more rested you are the more xp you gain, but you never go below 100% xp gained.
and... I played the WoW beta during my month absence from FFXi, and I have to say, I didn't like it very much. There are many quest available to do and you can infact solo, but it's relaly boring. I got my paladin pretty high (almost got into the real beta too lol) but i mostly just soloed. Since it's a blizzard game a lot of kiddies play and think it's "fun" to randomly attack things and die.
