Went today....very fun...recap:
Kill Radio = Loud, Great band. Vocals a little weak, but they got style, and that goes a long way. The lead singer, despite his somewhat weaker voice, really goes off.
Polyphonic Spree = Surprisingly...not that bad. I wouldn't listen to them normally, but parts of their songs(when they don't fucking repeat "the sun" 50 thousand times) are pretty good. Drummer is great.
The Killers = Great Band. Good Vocals, catchy songs. I don't like "Indy Rock and Roll"(song), however, and they treated it like their greatest song.
Snow Patrol = They sucked. I left. Polyphonic Spree was better.
New Found Glory = I enjoyed watching the group of 70 crowd members repeatedly try to crowd surf and falling instantly because there was no crowd. They didn't perform that badly, though...but that's still not giving them much credit. Actually I hate NFG fans more than I hate the band. The band has some good pop-rock stuff, but the fans believe they are some sort of punk band.
Sonic Youth = "All you have to do is play 3 notes, then you can join Sonic Youth" - Billie Joe. I hated them....and no one wants to watch a late 40s woman with saggy breasts jump and spin. No, bad! "This is our anti-Bush song" and then they played...an acoustic song...
The Pixies = Great band. Huge 30-40 year old crowd(The 4x year old guys in front of me getting high old fashioned wooden pipes was a fucking scream....but the guy kept crotch thrusting, and that disturbed me). I wish I knew any of their songs, would have been much more fun.
Green Day = Great band. I was a few feet from the rail the entire time, and was in the pit, basically. Other than blind sided crowd-surfer blows to my head, greatest show I've seen.
