Ok first off Ann Coulter is a cunt not many people actually take her seriously. Bill is an INDEPENDANT read some of his books and you will see that he talks shit about people on both sides although mostly the left wing. Ive read books from both of these people and Ann is psyco lol Bill should never be put in the same category as them. Thats like saying Micheal Moore and Bill Clinton are the same which is TOTALLY wrong. Bill's point of view actually has some good ideas while Micheal just takes bits and pieces of what is said and puts them together to make them say something totaly different. Not that I'm an expert on military things as they really don't interest me, but being forced to watch the history channel with my dad kinda helped me learn this one fact: Uranium shells are used in tanks due to the extreme density which allows them to penetrate VERY thick armour. They are so NOT used just for the radiation. As Kailyn stated, you would have to try pretty hard to actually suffer from the radiation sealed within those shells


Not that any military would use radiation itself as a weapon anyway (terrorists don't count), because radiation doesn't kill instantly (unless you have unimaginable quantities) and isn't the objective of war to kill the other person before he kills you? If I assume correctly, it's more effective to just shoot the bad guy than hope 20 years down the road that he develops cancer or something.

Has Mr. Franken ever done anything like this? Of course not. He's just HIGHLY critical of things like this (above) that are said on a daily basis by these right-wing quacks.

At least I have some sort of proof, not just "I read some of a bit of a chapter once." Read "lies and the lying liars who tell them". It actually has a very nice string of FACTS and criticism, and of course pointing out liars (most noteably coulter, bush, hannity, savage, o'lielly)

I'm amused that you think his book is full of facts, and I assure you that the right wing people will defend their candidate with similar zealotry, while disregarding any semblance of intellectual argument from the opposition. With pundits, like Franken, Coulter, etc.., the very notion of facts becomes a subjective matter, as they discard inconvenient facts and bolster the ones that support their argument. If you look at them from a "left" perspective, commentary from Franken not only seems legitimate but rock solid. The same can be said of someone viewing Rush from the right.

Unfortunately, for those of us with a brain who sit in the middle, they both appear to be idealogues, discarding notions and facts that don't fit into their cookie cutter synopsis' of events. It somewhat depresses me that people are so polarized with respect to their "champions" that they refuse to acknowledge the merit of the oppositions perspective.

For Example, to think that something so complex like the Iraq war, it's implications and causes can be boiled down into a couple "facts" is delusional at best. Yet, you will often see people arguing about whether it was right or wrong, whether it was good or bad, how the Neo-Cons did this, how the Liberals did that, and yet lose sight of reality.

Does the ends justify the means? It's a popular notion, but experience has proven time and time again, that the end does indeed often justify the means.

Well, what I was saying is that you compared Franken's degree of extremity to Coulter's because you "read part of a chapter of his book". I posted those quotes with the hopes you could prove that you actually did research and had substance to your claims. Am I wrong?
