Iam presently 71.5 Woodworking. However the only sub craft I have that could assist with Woodworking is 22 Bonecrafting. If any higher level Woodworkers can post what route they took to 80 and what sub craft used and recommend, Id appreciate it bigtime.

Very painful stage, this is where WW gets expensive.
It's best if you level alchemy a bit and make kilo umps till 76, or you can go to buburimu and log mahogany lumber and farm silk thread to make clothespoles till 77, you can desynth those to get materials back too.
77-81 make Battles staves are recommended, need ~20 smithing sub though, those can also be desynthed again for materials back and more skillups.
Hope that helps, I lost about 1mil in these levels which isn't too bad in my opinion.

Hey, I'm currently 94 ww, Pirato's route is similar to the one I took, but i never made Battle staves. I forget off habd what I made but I'll post my route soon as I check. As for subs I recommend taking alchemy to just short of 50 (you'll get skillups above that from the pumps) and also take Bone to about 50(?) cause you're gonna make kabura arrows which sell at a decent rate in Jeuno. I lost TONS of gil getting to where I'm at, but that's to be expected with any hi level crafting. Currently I'm turning laquer logs into laquer sap (94-96). Anyone reading this please give me a /tell ingame if you want to get rid of any lacquer logs.
I'll post my route for 73-94 and my plan for 94-100 later tonight.
Originally I was gonna bust Lu Shangs from 73-80 but the fishing patches screwed that over...so, I sold my Lu Shang and reinvested all 3.5 million into getting from 73-94. That includes taking Alchemy from 27-50 and Bone from 0-50. I didn't keep track of gil loss and profit through the process but gil isn't too much of an issue for me.

91-94 8-sided poles (make and desynth-you get back lumber and mythril nuggets, unfortunately the nuggets dont sell worth a crap..I still have a stack kickin around)

99-100 Iron Splitter (need a high Smith skill for this)

Are you nuts! Divine Sap? Either they changed something or you know something I don't Rahsten. Divine Sap is only used for Cursed Beverage. Main ingredient is a Divine Log. Which you get from Dynamis, and there rare drops from AH History, and from what I am told. Divine Logs are also used to make Divine lumber which in turn makes cursed gear.

Heck the logs sell for 2-3 million each. You seriously going to skill up on those?

Not from Dynamis. Drops off Genbu, Cemetery Cherry, Byakko, Seiryu, Jormungand, Tiamat, Horns of War BCNM, The Hills Are Alive BCNM, and Seasons Greetings BCNM. Used to make Cursed gear for Shura (lumber, not log).

I have to agree, though, Divine sap seems like an obscene amount of lost gil. haha

Another thing that was added recently that I used was Hume Fishing Rod. It caps at 74 so that helps with the 70-80 transition.

Sorry Matti I meant Sky not Dynamis >.>, But as you posted it drops from other HNM's too. I just couldn't justify the 2-3 million cost per synth. Heck that isnt even per skill up. I also think Fixing Hume Rods are around 72 or 73 cap with Light Crystal, just not sure the exact cap of them.

Note the (??) next to Divine Sap. At the time I posted that I had no idea where divine sap logs came frome or how expensive they were, thanks for the heads up. The 3 items under 'to do' were just what i saw as potential paths to 100. 2-3 million a synth is ludicrous I doubt that I'll do that...I'll just do Lancewood from 96-99 probably and probably some Cythara Anglica's between 95-98...anyway you look at it I'll be taking a large loss, but nowhere near as much as I would lose with Divine Sap

Edit: Grim- I sold all my pumps to that NPC outside the WW guild who sells Starter Equips.

Ok here is the route I did a bit unconventional but I didnt lose much gil at all except from 72-77

69-72 -- Ancient Lumber (great sell back rate if you look at Sandy AH) or Tarutaru Screen -- buy back sucks but pretty cheap rate.

72-77 The Hell Years Clothespole. This costs a ton unless you farm the materials. Mahagony and Silk are not cheap, but most unfortuntely if you dont have an Alchemy Sub this is the way to go.

77-81 Cabniets. The way the market is now you can make money on these. Requires Oak Lumber x4 and Holly Lumber x1 but the Oak Lumber can be HQed pretty quickly and easily. It was quick

82-83 (or 86 if you want) Erminite's Wand- Pretty Simple Hermits Wand and Willow Lumber for the win. I actually HQed one and they sell back for exactly how much you buy the Hermits for.

83-91 Kabura Arrows. At this point I decided to finally level Bone to 51 and do the arrows. The bitch is of course the ram horn and the failures at 83. If you have the apron and gloves with advanced synth support you wont fail often at all. hey sell back for 20k which is more than what cost me to make them (I farmed a lot of horns) and sold most of them in about a week.

91-94 This is where it gets a bit rough. Eight Sided Poles. These are a total wash but I got UNBELIEVEABLY high skill rate on them. I am talking .1 at least every 2 synths which is unheard of.

95-96 Lacquer Tree Sap. This is easy if you farm the logs. They drop on the Marlbrors in the Jungles. Drop rate is rare but its better than 96-98.

96-98 Cyntara Angica. This is where i wanted to cry You will lose a ton of gil here but this is pretty much all you can do since Lancewood Lumber is so incredibly rare now. I blew three million getting from 96-98 which is a lot less than most other synths.

98-99 Lancewood Lumber. Thank god I do Dynamis. People send me these logs. Easy lvl but if you buy from AH (when they are avaliable) they are 100k each.

99-100 Iron Splitters. Need a smithing skill of at least 58. They cap at 60 smithing and require a adaman ingot per synth. Pretty shitty huh
