My point exactly. Some people claim that they will only use it to minimize FFXI or w/e but with all the plug-in features, it will get abused and misused. I just think they should do away with all 3rd Party Programs and maybe implement a minimize function during the next update.

Oh and Arlania, what r u taking about them doing updates in secret? Check the POL site, I am well aware of all updates/maintainence SE does.

what she means is they won't explain what alot of the updates are like "were implementing alot of more goodies" thing. its like k great were stuck wondering, for all we know SE is making a virus and its gonna crash all our computers lol (i would lol irl). but yea they will update a hell of alot more than what they "say" most of the time..

one thing i liked about WoW(god kill me) they showed a huge list of exactly what their doing in updates.

and SE wont include the minimize function because that makes too much sence. =/

i have a question... why is it called a "third party program"? what about the first 2? is a hack in any mmorpg refered too as a third party program? lol wtf does nit actuly mean?

Its funny to hear people call the windower a hack of some sort,
i can see why SE would be pissed about this program, its because
deeply inside they know its actually something good that the NA's
acomplished, so as you can see they quickly make updates
and stuff as soon as it hits the NA community.

Its funny how i have seen teleporting and speed hacking be
done by the japanese players, the windower itself with way
many more "plug-ins" and/or hacks being used by the JP's,
yet i dont remember any urgent fixes to those. As soon as
NA found out about these, BAM! SE comes out of nowhere and
goes on a maintanance spree and gets all strickt about it.

My view on this peticular software is very selfminded.
I would rather have people knowing my TP so we can hurry up
with the Skillchains, then screwing up on it. Most of the times
now, i rather not PT with anyone Rank8+ just because of the
idiotic TP and SKILLCHAIN/MAGIC party spam. Me, being a ninja
i can just filter everything but i at least wanna know what the
party has to say (other then the spam).

Anyways, i'm all for the windower because its a great help,
it makes some of the annoying things in the game go away,
i can deff. enjoy my playing time more with the windower
for its obvious usage. I dont see anything in there that makes
it look like or be a hack. IF there is an advantage of knowing
a person's TP, i dont see how that "advantage" would actually
be an advantage (other than for knowing's sake).

Yes, this windower could be a door openened to hackers,
but i'm sure if a hacker were to make it malicious, he could
deff. write his own program for self usage, so its not like
its that big of a door for them. As Azreall said, he will never
go past the TOS on terms of hacks as such. He's been pretty
honest so far (about 2 years) so i'll be on his side on this one.

I'm just glad to see some of you trying to be fair though,
you are in for a battle just to loose. There are just too many
people abusing 3rd party tools, but i guess by taking a stand
you get the right to whine and yapp about others.

well, from my standpoint, its lame that it gives PC players an advantage over PS2, and i play on both so I dont have a huge bias in that area. The basic windower is fine, the plugins with TP etc is a nono imo.
