lately, i've been kickin it oldschool playing through FF7 and MGS1/2/3.

As for BF2, it actually is a fun game. You can choose of about 6 jobs to play, spec ops, anti tank, support, medic, engineer, and assault. As you rank up, you get access to unlock one of the jobs primary weapons, which leads to better accuracy/damage/etc. Oh, and you can use any of the vehicles in the game, like helicopters (attack and transport), planes, tanks, Anti Aircraft vehicles and guns, APCs, on and on.

In order to win a map, your team must control more than half of the bases on the field so the other team loses points, and when the team reaches 0, they lose. There is lots of strategies for attack/defense, you get squads, and there is a commander that can launch artillery/UAV/supplies every once in a while

Game gets 9/10 Gavin Stars.

In BF2, I read that the big flaw in the game is that ground troops will jump up and down 10 feet in the air to avoid fire, which seems kind of lame. Is that true?

WoW-- I dunno, Thunderstomp tried it and said it sucked

well, if you are gettin shot at by a sniper, its the best way to avoid fire. But when you are close quarters, its best to just lay down and shoot at whoever is attackin ya (u get better acc)

its just harder to get hit if u are constantly moving, and that applies to all FPSs. As for avoiding hits, you take 2-3 bullets and you are dead, so its more realistic than gettin headshotted every round, or taking 50 bullets

I only played the WoW open beta. I thought it was OK, but at the time all my friends were still in FFXI, so I just played that some more until I got sick of it and the whole concept of mmorpgs.

I play this game and I do see too much flaw in this game and too many ppl will do jumps, TK for damn planes or heli when they cant do shit.

Yeah, sorry for hijacking this into another wow vs ffxi thread... but you should prob. check it out Whisp.

WoW is great b/c you don't need such a large time sink into it (you CAN if you want) but i think its more enjoyable if you don't.

It might be just the thing you need~ :) Try and convince thunderstomp to play again too, two is much better than one in that game.

You could give Guild Wars a try now that they're giving 10 hour free trial.

my brother just got a PSP and is begging me to get one so we can play 2-player games. he mostly likes baseball, wrestling, some action/adv games, but not rpg/sim/strat games. any thoughts?

They released Day of Defeat: Source recently, ever think about getting Steam and Half-life 2? Not to mention the Dystopia third party mod is a pretty fun demo to mess around with. You can do crazy stuff like hack in the game to capture turrets and open doors for allies.

Guild Wars would be a good game to pass time. $50, no monthly fee, I think you'd like it. And you don't have to commit 3 hours to the game just to get something done, unlike FFXI.

Ninja Gaiden is superior to DMC3 by far. And if you didn't like the difficulty of the original release they released Ninja Gaiden:Black recently which has a both a lower and higher difficulty and all the hurricane packs included. Really was by far the best action game of this generation of consoles.. not a contest.. including DMC, Onimusha, etc. I like that you can't gameshark xbox and only can do gamesaves really (which doesn't help in Ninja Gaiden at later levels at all lol). So bitch asses could in no way cheat their way thru Ninja Gaiden.
