failed like the first 30 times until realizing his subjob wasn't allowed so he wasn't able to RDM/NIN maat to death. then he begged Auspice for tips and about 50 more attempts later beat him

Seiki is the best NA RDM I've played with. Ruby and Corwin are notable mentions too =P Never got the chance to play with SS.

I've dropped out the scene of notable RDMs. ;p

I hardly play. lol

Other really good RDMs were Fumo and Noelion, but they quit a long time ago.

Side question- What do you guys think being a good rdm is all about? (Since you guys keep saying OMG X IS THE BEST RDM EVAR)

To me it's adaptability and knowledge. Sure, you can be absolutely perfect on refresh cycles, you can ever set an egg timer to 2 and a half minutes if you want to be that precise, (No, I never did that, nor did I have a stupid refresh ready echo or whatever, lol) but if you're not flexible in different situations, I think you suck.. lol

Don't fall into a pattern because if something unexpected happens, you're probably fucked. lol

By knowledge I mean you have to have a general understanding of not just how rdm works as refresher/enfeebler, but just about every other job, especially the ones you have subs with and how to utilize them properly.

From there you get the versatility to try out stuff to just better yourself as a player, and of course that transfers to other jobs as well, heh.

Being a good rdm has nothing to do with casting refresh, or haste, or knowing what gear to have on for feebles. Any rdm can do that.

A good rdm can main heal in a rdm, brd, 4melee pt in in Celestial nexus, as well as control undead adds when the brd dies in KRT.
A good rdm knows whats going to happen based on a situation, and adapts.

Honestly the only rdm mentioned here I've had the privelage of watching has been Corwin, who does his job very well.

My personal favorite though is Anthon <3
