So the date for ToA comes closer and more info comes out every day.


What do you think\hope the expansion will include?


Id like to see the expansion include a new "sky" zone. I just dont think the sea zone cut it. ok ok ok so I never made it to sea (I had every chance I just never had time), but still, i think its common knowlage that the drop rates and challenge are just not on the same level as Sky.

Probably not the kind of thing you have in an expansion, but dynamis instancing would be nice. Soon no amount of scheduling is going to change the fact that more than the max number of players allowed can do Dynamis at certain times.

What would they call this new sky zone? Sand? Land? It would be nice but I'm not getting my hopes up.

a new line of abj that are better than the 2+ year old crap thats out now.

even if it required an abjuration type item (rare, ex), new npc in new expansion zone, and new fucking kings. trade your already uncursed gear you wear with new abj to npc and get the negative stats from your old shit taken off and/or improve the stats on your piece.

example, fight a new HNM get a "Contract of Magic", trade the contract with a uncursed dalmantica and it removes the -50HP on the gear. Heca gear gets the slow removed, etc etc.

macro gear is the lamest shit ever, and the way SE made this game there is no way in hell you can become to powerful even if you wore +200 str. oh no you can 1 shot a too weak monster... adur your fuckin 75 you should be able to do shit like that haha

I agree, Square is so worried about making armor that is better than the top line stuff now. They should be more like all other MMGs. Release a top level set of armor. 6 months later a better one. 6 Months later a better one or slightly different but still just as good.

Square figures they could make it so hard that people will stay on trying to get the carrot. If they just added new stuff all the time and made it easier to get everything then people would be much happier.

I miss DAoC where armor was all crafted and custom made. You could add your own stats to the armor and chance to add even more stats with a HQ. Of course in DAoC if your craft failed while trying to do this it blew up and you died lol.

I want a new jueno, Not just tavnazia. A new sky type zone would be nice too. I always wanted the prime bloodpacts but i'm almost 100% positive we will get them in some way through ToA. FFXI's graphics need a major overhaul too, i'm tired of looking like everyone else. Blu better not be retarded, even though I probably won't take it past 20 either way, lol.
And SE should fix penta thrust and make it like rampage. And a walk in PVP zone. And new weapon classes, whips for example, like in ff8.

ok, enough off topic stuff. I would like to see SE fix the unbalancedness of tanks. admit it, NINs are just 'too powerful' compared to PLDs that WHMs are beyond lazy off their ass and can't even do their job anymore when thrown into a situation with a PLD. I know a WHM that's never partied with a PLD and barely with WARs. They refuse to even try to exp with a PLD because of what they've heard from people say about PLDs and shit.

I could name a few things that could be done for PLDs, some may not seem fair or balanced or anything but they're kinda decent I guess. Flash II, it would last for atleast 10 seconds, it can have a minute recast for all I are, just something to help avoid damage would be nice. a new job trait would be nice, mainly one that could practically be a latent earth staff(I mean like giving the job an automatic -20% to physical damage). another job trait could be some magic defenses also. Dont get me wrong or anything, I love PLD and I know the strength of it, I just think the job needs fixes like these to give the job back it's edge to the general public to make it easier to get parties and such.

yeah in DAoC there were normal Leather, Cloth and Metal crafts for armor. There was also Alchemy. Alchemist would make little gems with + stats to them. Each armor had X amount of Embue points. Each gem had a value of embue points. The more stats the gem had the more embue points it had. So like a normal Cloak would hold 9 embue points. Say a +3 str gem would have 3 embue points a +4 would have 4 or something like that. So you could push the limit and put like 11 embue points into an object like the cloak that could only hold 9 embue points. Although there was a chance the alchemist doing the craft would blow the item up lol.

When a craft blew up, the crafter died. I remember when the first introduced alchemy and everyone was leveling it up and you could sit and watch peolpe at the Alchemy tables just blow up and die lol.

It also sucked when it cost you (in gil terms) a couple mil. But atleast you got a laugh out of watching your friend die.

nin dont have it easy haha, nin dont get hit only if theyre a good and b have good support. they also struggle with holding hate. pld suck because they do get hit, and when a hnm hits them its like 200 dmg+ a hit which isnt mp efficient. in xp pt a PLD just slows down the xp because they are a mp sponge, at least a nin you only need to cast haste on haha

I would so level craft in FFXI if you could randomly blow up

What I want:
-As much story and cs as CoP. Would be nice if there was less walking tho
-Challenging BC/story nm: I dontmind level cap or not, as long it's not easier than CoP
- A new end game area like sea/sky, minus the broken aspect of sea (gear, and awful drop rate/pop rate)
- New 24h HNM that worth being farmed.


-Gear better than E.set, sword better than ridill, armor better than koenig...etc

sea seems to be based particularly on blm and smn, it's a lot fo fun if you're eitehr of these classes... but not so much if you're another. Alot of ppl complaied about CoP missions as well, but once I had a compitent static to do it with, most of the missions were a ton of fun (though the lvl cap def. def. sucked).

In this expansion... I'd like to see new jobs, new abjs, new dynamis type zones (not neccaserily like dynamis specifically, but just areas you can go in and bash things up with 64ppl), new pvp types. Pretty standard stuff.. a lot of the new updates they recently added kind of fixed or added some of the things I wanted for smn and whm.. so I don't have many desires for this new expansion, I'm kind of expecting to see the same old things.. zones that look like zones we've seen before, mobs that aren't exciting to fight, more gear that's hard to get and not worth the hassle.

how about they move all the NMs and HNMs to ToAU and Al'Taieu. Then we wouldnt have to deal with gil sellers for a week or 2.

I had fun in sea. as warrior as much as I did with blm. There is a lot of farming involved, and every job do fine. Personally, I really enjoyed sea. The area gave a different feeling with new type of aggro, interesting monster and the nice grapphics. The NM were always fun and challenging to fight.

As a melee (and an underlevelled one at that), I've done almost nothing in sea, but Limbus is a freaking blast. Those rewards are NOT trivial, unlike the ridiculous Jailers, and melee kick ass in it. Thumbs up to Limbus.

I don't mind so much that SE tries to retain the usefulness of old gear, but yeah, there needs to be a new line. Homam/Nashira could maybe come close for some jobs, but some new abjurations would be nice.

More story ftw! It'll be tough to top CoP.

One more job besides Corsair and Blue Mage...Geomancer, anyone?

Seriously though, I'd like to see missions that aren't required of having a 'perfect setup' to beat like a lot of the CoP missions were/are. I wouldn't mind if they got rid of all the newbs who mess up everything during missions too.

We had a WHM/NIN for the last couple CoP battles. They really aren't so bad if you just buckle down and do them. Just need to be prepared and have good players who can improvise.

Another great story would be nice. Some more really fun BCs/ENMs. We REALLY need some new gear and Kings/HNMs tho. (like everyone else said already) It would make things alot of fun since all the Big JP/NA Lss could go fight over new stuff and us smaller/newer LSs could get a chance to play with the old Kings.

I would love one more job at least, mainly cause the other new don't excite me at all. Time Mage, Geomancer, Necromancer, something cooler.

I'm hoping SE has learned from it's mistakes but who knows.

Having lots more land kings (queens?) that needed full or close to full alliances would be brilliant. I mean enough so that one ls with 43 ppl can't claim all of them and reduce the crowding of camps. Of course they'd have to have better drops than fafnir or nobody would care .

Maybe some HNMs that require a different method of claiming other than be the first to complete some action on it (provoke/stone/dia/grav/stea/etc). Something that fux up the bots anyway :D

Remove valkurm dunes from the game, force ppl to move elsewhere.

Mini home points that you can set for a time limit or something, if you die or warp from within the region of the mini HP you go that HP, otherwise it's back to Jeuno with you.

Need to make the expansion with more diffacult bcs and no more things smn can zerg. It would be nice if there was a big city that was kinda hard to get to just to eliminate some of the lag with everyone being in jeuno.
