WoW graphic owns, it's the choice of char makes it look weird. I don't like night elf, but the taru I meant gnome owns.

The spell graphic is especially nice. We didn't take any screenshots but wow is way more fun than FFXI the week and half we played. I don't think wow will last though, it's like you'll have 1 char, going from 1-max level. But once get to that point, you'll probably quit. The quests/xping is a lot of fun. I really like the solo ability mages have as well. I played pretty softcore and I got to lvl 13 in about 2 days. The tradeskill is really easy to skill up as well. I got tailoring from 1-40 in a day too while leveling. You get most of the material through lvling too.

the easy factor of this game is what makes me nervous.

WoW graphics really aren't better than anything that's out there now, it's just got a different colour pallete of the smurf village. From what I've been told, the game is so easy that it gets boring without real challanges aside from PVP.

I've not really tried WOW, or even really looked into it much. But going by what I hear other people say...

If not for the EXP penalty you get by playing too long, you could supposedly hit max level in a very very short space of time. The penalty thing is designed to get you to play multiple characters I guess, putting them to sleep for the day after they get tired, and using another.

One of the main reasons I haven't really levelled another job in FFXI, is because no matter how you slice it, EXP grinding isnt fun. "Levelling Up" is fun, watching your character get stronger in a quick lightshow followed by using some cool new abilities, thats great fun. Actually earning the EXP itself is a real bore.

Supposedly WOW fixes this by making quests unique (not just goto the AH, buy an item and bring it back :P) and give you EXP rewards and thus enjoyable to do either in a group or solo. Imagine the kind of response you would get if you actually earned like 3000 exp by helping someone out on their AF3 quest?

However, I wouldn't handle using multiple characters well, myself. I tend to get attached to things. In Black & White (the game, you should know it) I never moved on to try out the other creatures you could use. I would get so attached to my little monkey, that by the time you hit like level 4 and can switch to a Lion or something, why the hell would I want to just dump my little monkey?

It makes me laugh even harder imagining Ket reading that post with his british accent.

Thats the biggest thing Ive liked about FFXI. Im Yarr and always Yarr. I can be whm, blm, sam, smn what ever. In DAoC I had Yarr to Yarrrrr. All the same model just differnt names and classes. It was such a pain in the ass when someone was leveling an alt and you thought they were offline. atleast in FFXI when you look at your friends list it shows them as online but one a different username.

It's hard for me to play multiple jobs to high lvl. Maybe I am tired of the grinding that you have to go through with idiots_23482397. Maybe I just don't like to have the same model. I don't know how I did it in EQ, but it was actually fun when I level up alts. I have 65 druid (main), 65 mage, 65 cleric. And I also box Kailyn's 65 enchanter and 65 warrior sometimes. I guess different models give it different tastes. As for graphic, I still like EQ the best char wise. They are really pretty (when I started to play), they kind of ruin it expansion after expansion.

I checked out WoW's chars, I didn't like any but hume and gnome. The pigtail gnome rules. One thing WoW has over FFXI is, you can solo pretty well not like FFXI you must have a party to level. I think with our life style changing, it's best to have a game I can just logon and play 15 minutes whenever I want. Instead of logging on, lfg for 2 hours, finally got a party, play 15 minutes and have to go. I do think WoW won't last forever after you've done all the quests though. It won't be that much fun once you've done the quest and figured out where everything is. From my friends told me in close beta, they don't have an end game yet, but it also took EQ 2 years to get the end game out. We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

I thought wow was realy fun, i like the no loading for zones, and i got Hunter to level 18 before the stress test ended. By the time it ended I acculy thought about quiting FF because ive been ahveing trouble with smn, but i got back on and got CoP the other day and FF has hooked me once again, dont think I'll give it up for a while. I ahve some SS's of wow i may post later.

Just wondering, how much exp do you get roughly each fight, because 3600 exp seems like a bunch for level 6.

I think Kailyn and I probably will end up doing priest + mage combo. They seem like pretty good duo team. Mage job is really cool in wow. You can even solo all the way to 20s. (I only got to lvl 13 and K was lvl 21 when stress ended - we only had 1 acct to play with).
