Between trace's and rein's conversations about gear I figured it would be interesting to see just how much you guys are worth in gear! This gear is for your main character alone so seriously only list stuff that is relevant. I mean why list a Tavnazian Ring or signet staff since it is so common or nor does it really have stats. Another thing is if I'd need an item to trade to a ??? for rostrum pumps or a hakataku cluster for the O. hat I would not price these items so I didn't list them as prices, I just put a ~ beside it to indicate these items are worked for. Dynamis AF2 also works in this way. If a LS helped you to get your noble's tunic or kirin's osode etc. etc. put a (LS) next to the name showing you don't own it. Although trump crown is listed on ah for a low price I would never sell it so I put a next to it in order to indicate that yea I had one but I would have probably never sold it. If you have gear you sub out for certain occasions feel free to add that but seriously don't go overboard here. And remember, the most expensive gear is not always the best, I accomplished just about everything as a underlvled 72 whm with fairly decent whm gear but I went ape-shit on buying gear only 1 week right before I retired and I ended up giving all of it away in a contest for the most part.

Use a median to avg. guess price from the ffxi ah to see how much your build is currently worth. Enjoy the comparisons

had 50 mil-ish in sellable gear when I quit. + bonecraft at 86 and various other pieces of rare/ex invaluable gear that was/still is uncommon (thf af2 hands, rng legs, etc.)..... that was at the current prices about 2 months ago. from what I have heard about the drop in prices I'd probably have been 40ish.

1 main acct + max # of mules on a handle gardening tree cuttings into tree saplings about 2 months after PS2 release when I started getting into it = major loot

My main mule selling those items was named "Dollar" which I'm sure a few of you encountered lol and nope I never once bought gill in ffxi so : P

Every 11-14 days I was raking in anywhere from 1.4 to 2.8 mill, however some would be reinvested into buying more cuttings whenever I didn't farm the goobues. That was my main source of income but I did a ton of KS, ENM, and BC battles as well with my LS and I distinctly remember owning the timer on Boroka for a bit before many knew what and where he was. Remember, early CKD, FS, Monarchy and TTK were fairly established close-knit LSes that would have players camp all sorts of 24 hour pops and stuff for big money drops, we'd also craft a lot of free shit for one another. I'm not sure how the community is in-game now, but it used to be a fairly tight community where there weren't that many NA HNM shells. It was great fun to play back when people were nicer and actually cared about their reputation in-game. I mean we had our fun times and drama, but a lot of the old-school is long-gone

Didn't really craft much but I was getting about everything up to the 50 ish mark before I quit so my main relatively easy choice was gardening, it took like little time at all

And damn...is smn or whm the most expensive to gear? you other jobs got some easy financing

rng was kinda expensive to gear, but you are right..... the majority of expenses comes in the perishables (that's on top of the E. bow, behemoth rings, etc....).Thief was also expensive.

When I quit I priced out my sellables alone at 55 mil-ish.... that's not including heca body, hands, feet, ohat, etc...... and then there is the impossible price tag you could never put on all the other shit like raja's, thf af2 hands, rng af2 legs, sirocco, etc... on top of the sellables that I had.

I did cuttings>>> saplings as well. Very profitable. And because I was a thf main I was also one of those folks that spent hours camping the chyme against the sellers back when i was in the high 50's/low 60's. Also lucked out on some high ticket sellable drops (about a month and a half before I quit Cail and I duo'd alky and got alky bracelets to drop... I told Cail he could have them but he was kind enough to sale and split it 50/50... was a nice 20 mil injection to my gear lol).

And I am happy to say I worked hard for everything I had. Shit, I even told people in my LS's (when people bitched and moaned about gil) how to make gil via gardening and such.....
