I was a Catholic my entire life (babtised as an infant). I got my confirmation when I was 15, and stopped going to Church immediately after. I didn't want to be Catholic anymore while taking my classes for confirmation and learning more about the strange rituals and beliefs. I only went through with it because my parents promised to buy me an expensive stereo for my room if I finished lol. That religion is wack yo. Organized religion altogether is wack.

No. I wasn't infusing ANY of my beliefs into my arguement other than you're WRONG, and you were. The Bible is God's scripture, and I'm pretty sure that relates to Jesus, man. I'm just saying that your facts are all wrong, so quit rambling on about some shit that is totally unrelated to EVERYTHING. If you didn't notice, the Bible isn't the Bill of Rights, so you shouldn't give a shit WHAT it says about homosexuality unless you are Christian.

And if you ARE a Christian, guess what? The Bible IS what you're supposed to follow. You don't just say "it was probably written by homophobic men" and disregard those passages. THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT OF RELIGION IS TO FOLLOW YOUR SCRIPTURE. I'm sick to death of these Christians who try and "adopt Christianity to everyday life" by omitting certain passages that are either too hard to do or don't fit their life. C. There are many different types of christians, who believe many different things. It is my belief that religion should be personal to someone, and you should find your own faith, perhaps based on a religion that you agree with for the most part.

Catholics are supposed to believe everything the catholic church teaches, but that does not include literally everything in the bible. Catholics do not take all of the storys in the bible literally.

I'm not sure about what your particular church teaches, it may not be possible to be gay and in your church at the same time. But as far as catholisism goes, it is the sexual ACT- having sex with the same gender- that is the sin. meaning a person can be gay, but live a life of abstinance and be appreciated in god's eyes for that. Sort of like a trial i guess? to serve god, get into heaven and what not. Basically you can be gay, but you can't act apon the sin of it or believe that homosexuality is right or moral, and what not. And you can ask god to make you not gay too I guess, but if hes testing your faith then he probably wouldnt turn you un-gay.
