Those Leepinglizzy guys weren't that old. That was like the third time I came back when I first saw them. And I camped LL alot before I left the first time...

I actually don't remember many high lvl DRGs back in the day. Around those times, DRG was considered over powered yes.. but by the time everyone started lvln it to get in on the hype, shortly after it was nerfed. I remember I could only name 3-5 high lvl NA DRGs I knew by name or rep then.

I'm seeing many people recently also trying to get in on the omgz-PLD or omgz-SAM hype... its gonna be funny if they get nerfed somehow by the time those people get high lvl.

TP nerf happened when highest NA players were only in the level 60's. i was lv 58 at the time. pretty sure i was farming AF when we found out.

Yeah like Whisp said, there werent any DRGs high enough to take advantage of the TP thing. The highest NA DRG i knew was my RL friend and he got penta the DAY SE nerfed it lol. But at that time there were NO high level rangers haha. The same thing happend to RNG as MNKs of late. No one leveled the job and considered it too expensive. Then a rich dude leveled it and everyone was like zomg.

dude lotsa drags from NA release had penta before the nerf. pirotess, thunderstomp, nesso, limitation, gyoru, itto, washupito, probably 1 or 2 others. it was crazy watching TS penta spam decent challenges. if we got a pop, he could freaking solo a VT for a while. hell i literally powerleveled TS from level 58-60 on VTs

Nah that was part of the TP nerf, i wasnt around for it, but i think it had to do with the 999 delay on the fully locked knuckles giving a huge TP return? i could be wrong.

Nekote was a high level ranger, he was probably around lvl 65 at the TP nerf. Just curious, who was your RL DRG friend? Sounds like he was about 10-15 lvls below me at the TP nerf, but I might remember him.

okay so we were 63 then when the nerf hit. we were 58 when it was announced and 60s when it hit. so kayne was in 70s. not sure if kayne checks forums but i wonder if he had asuran yet

Well Movien was around 60 DRG when the TP nerf happened. I remember giving him a hard time the day of that patch haha. I am pretty sure Kayne had asuran and relic knuckles when the nerf happened, or at least thats what MM said lol.

i remember when i started playing.. i was like 1 of 15 (exaggerated) NA players on ifrit, the highest one i think was around 10 or something, and the level cap was 70.. its a good thing i knew a little japanese when i first started playing, if not i would have gotten nowhere. the first 5 or 6 people i met were all japanese. it was way funner back then though.. idk what happend to that fun. i think the game was 100 times better when we were all these "noobs" running around not knowing a fucking thing.

- Used to take the khazahm <-> jeuno airship over and over to do the lost item quest. Making 200gil at a time. lol gilzorz omg.
- Thought doing a Weapon Skill in pty affected the higher xp amount, not knowing it the difference between a Skill Chain and an Exp Chain.

I still do that and its pure instinct every time I ride an airship from a city to Jueno. Lost my Tiamat Trouncer title to Discerning Individual lol.

lol, back in the day i used to be rich as hell.. i'd sit there all day not leveling, but camping VE, LL and Jagged eared jack, sell it for 150k.. at that point.. i had about 2.5 million gil, most people rocked about 200k and that WAS alot of gil back in that day.. it was fun being a thf back then.. i was rich, prices were cheap, and no one camped those NMs like they do now lol.
