wtf is Eva? Akira is the only non-videogame Anime I own or care to watch. I hope that pisses some of you hardcore anime people off, because that movie is probably the exact opposite of what you like. AND I LOVE IT!

Heil Crocodile

looking forward to seeing the Live Journal btw.

Eva is the short way of saying "Neon Genesis Evangelion"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neon_Genesis_Evangelion

It's one of the most popular (if not, THE most popular) and influential anime of all time.

Although Akira is the one anime that could somewhat rival that, so don't worry, anime people love it, so you're not really pissing anyone off.

TETSUOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I did, but I just got a new computer and havnt put in the Hard drive from my old one yet so I can't upload the photos.

I went to Kamakura to the giant Buddha and alot of the shrines surrounding the Kamakura/Mount Kannon area.

Once I get my HD in, I'll post the pics and a video of me climbing the stairs that are in the side of Mount Kannon to one of the shrines.

Haha, actually...when I was doing that, I had a Japanese guy come up to me because he knew what it was.

It's a series of poses from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, which is WIDELY known throughout Japan, and this one guy came up and was suprised I knew what they were, and that I was doing them well, lmao.

Just go Kluya.

I used to think I could never do it, and I decided to just start saving, without thinking about how long it would take, or setting goals for how much I save.

Anytime I had extra money, just toss it into a little lockbox I had. It helped I went on a diet for this too, so everytime I felt like going somewhere and eating, or grabbing junk food, I'd take whatever cash I had planned on eating with and locked it up.

I skipped some conventions and things like that as well, basically cut every corner I could and just saved and saved. All in all it cost me around 2500 dollars. I know it sounds like alot, but also consider I spent nearly 2 weeks there.

For a decent vacation, you could do about 1 week, including your flight days, for about 1500 or less if you spend wisely.

Your flight should be right under $1000
And there are places you can stay for less than 50-60 bucks a night (Youth Hostels are a good option too, some of which are only about 1000 yen a day - 8$ or so American)

And you can still do PLENTY in 1 week. I got to take my time and see things more than once on my trip, but if you dedicate each day to an activity, you can honestly do alot with only 5 days (take away 2 days for flights)

You can usually get 2 districts of Tokyo done in a day, start with Shibuya and Shinjuku, and find which ones interest you most that you'd wanna dedicate a whole day to, such as Akihabara or Roppongi were for me.

I've wanted to go to Japan (mainly Tokyo) for a long ass time. My stepdad is wealthy and offered to pay for my stepbrother and I to go on a chartered trip right after high school (to Tokyo Auto salon). All my stepbrother had to do was graduate. The motherfucker dropped out 2 weeks before the end. I am still bitter about that.

My sister lives in NYC with a cute female Japanese roommate (who barely speaks English...hot!) and they are good friends now. We might go there next summer and stay with her family just outside Tokyo. That's pretty much my only hope lol. My friends have no interest in traveling to Japan...and the ones who do, don't have money. The money isn't a big deal for me (if I plan in advance), it's just finding somebody to go with.

Your pictures make me jealous haha. I would enjoy everything you guys did. I would have to add at least 1 car related event to the agenda. I'm obsessed with Japanese cars. One day I will import a right hand drive car from Japan.

Well, if you absolutely NEED someone to hold your hands, I am going again next year, lol.

I can navigate the Tokyo area better than Austin too, lol (I always get lost here at home, but when I was there I figured out the train system and street system in like a day and a half, lmao)
