Perhaps everything happens as its supposed to and no matter how hard people try to change the future they can't no matter what ability each "Heroes" character possesses. Maybe Lindermann knows this. Regular humans believe the "heroes" are dangerous and powerful and should be extermintaed and quarantined.

Perhaps Sylar (who is capable of so much destruction) eventually kills and gains the power of the one individual who is capable of healing and restoring life. If Lindermann is really for the greater good as he says he is he will give his own life willingly and maybe even explain all this to Sylar. So "special" Sylar becomes a martyr and restores balance as well as a new understanding upon the "Heroes" race. This type of conclusion will show you both sides of the scale and prove that good and evil exist within us all. It will also make the "heroes" seem more like their human counterparts and maybe dissolve the prejudice of man towards the "heroes." I think this is one of the major and most important themes everytime I see Sylar, Lindermann, Nathan, Mohinder, Bennett and of course Nikki/Jessica. I expect an ending similar to this to capitalize upon this theme.

Of course not everyone will be able to conquer this prejudice and come to understand the "heroes" which would be a main theme for a possible second season.

Just brainstorming but that's the best ending I can derive from such a good TV series.

well...it was an ending...it was a bit off IMHO, but not enough to get me to stop watching when or if they come back next season.

Honestly, I wasn't happy with it.

As much cool twists and turns there were in the show...that was a pretty corny ending i think...

They better make up for it with awesome Hiro/Kensei season, lol.

yea that whole "I love you bro...I love you too" scene was fuckin' retarded.

But ya, I'm glad the Hiro stuff turned out the way it did. That looks promising.

Sylar is a a cucaracha!
