So I just got back from seeing Fanstic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and guess what?


IT SUCKED!

And no, not for the reasons you would think. The story was horrible, like really really bad. They didnt keep much from the comics. It was basically a whole new story and idea. The change to Galactus was minor when you see what else they did.

• Silver surfer loses his powers when he is off his board? WHAT THE FLYING F**K? ARE YOU FOR REAL? LOLOL
• Guess who uses Silver Surfers board when he loses it? Dr Doom!
• Dr Doom is cured of his "problem" when the Surfer shoots him with a cosmic blast. wtf lol, but that wasn't too bad
• Johnny can swap powers with anyone he touches, except doom for some reason, even though he was in the EXACT SAME ACCIDENT according to the last movie at least.
• They never explain how Dr doom came back to life
• Silver Surfer hardly does anything. The chase scene and the rocket scene are pretty much the only cool things the surfer does and it was show in every preview, theres nothing else he does thats cool, unless you think some gimp in a dull silver jumpsuit is cool.

Anyway, there were some cool parts. Just not many of them. Whats really bad is i think the first movie was better....

I don't think any of the comic book adaptations have been very good with the exception of 300 (which really captured the feel of an actual comic book instead of just an action movie with actors who look sort of like the heroes) and V for Vendetta, for all the obvious reasons. Batman Begins was pretty good too I guess. But Spiderman, X-Men, Superman Returns, Hulk, and Fantastic Four have all sucked pretty hard. Apparently they're making a watchmen movie, and that's supposed to be the best series in the entire genre. I haven't read them but I will before the movie comes out.

You forgot Daredevil and Catwoman noob.

Yarr im shocked you are amazed that the first movie was better. remember back in the 80's when all sequels sucked ass? except for Back to the Future 2 was good, 3 was meh.

I just saw ghost rider, and it was almost as bad as hulk, what a peice of crap, i liked the spidey movies and xmen tho.

X-Men series and Batman Begins were pretty good in my opinion. The new Superman was a sleeper but it also wasn't half bad either. I got what I expected and paid for in Spider Man 3 but in hindsight now I now think it wasn't all that great.

Hulk blew but those HD commercials make it look "Incredible", GhostRider was a joke

Catwoman actually amused me because it tickled my funny bone seeing sheron stone's skin as hard as marble lol. halle berry I thought looked horrible in it, too much bad makeup when she was a cat. story line sucked ofcourse though, i think it was in theatres for like 1 week lol

In one scene we see the fantastic four save everyone on this giant farris wheel. It was pretty cool. Mr Fantastic actually uses his powers like in the comics and does some cool stuff. Too bad it was the only time we see them working as a team.[/spoiler]

The Silver Surfer is hot in a platinum kind of way. Nice and smooth and slick! There was one action scene which rocked my socks off! I was happy except for some of the reasons Yarr listed. lol
