Someone explaine to me what Besigied is.
Like Remey said it's basically reverse dynamis and it originally sucked. Then they realized players loved it so they improved it. You can see the beastmen enemy force rising on the aht urhgan conquest map, basically it's the enemis' conquest points or rage. Once it hits 100 they begin preparing for battle and their force increases at an increased rate. Every 10 enemy force represents one level of besieged so enemy force 110=lv1, 120=lv2, etc, up to maximum force 200. Once they're done prepping they march , takes 15-30 minutes. Once that ends you get another message in chat log that the walls have been breached, followed by an awesome cutscene, and then the battle begins inside the town.
Low end battles are over quick and don't have any special besieged-only mobs, but once besieged is level 5 each beastman army brings their king along, and once you hit level 6 you get special besieged-only mobs. Each level also has its respective set of bosses and super bosses. The level of the besieged rises over the course of a few weeks, and once it has risen it doesn't reset to lv1 unless we lose.
And how do we lose? The goal of besieged is to protect 5 Generals who hold the keys to the Hall of Binding, where the Astral Candescence is held. The AC is central in the toa storyline and is said to bring joy and strength to those near it. It also affects the bonuses we get with imperial signet (sanction). Ech general is an npc in town who actively fights in besieged, you can see them, you can protect them, buff them, cure them, etc. As each one falls (if they fall) you get a message in the chat log stating it, and if all 5 fall, the hall of binding is breached and you're usually set for one last epic in the inner sanctum. This is the only time you can enter that area or see the AC.
Monsters in besieged all check impossible to guage, and hit about as hard as vt-it mobs, they have tremendous amounts of hp. The special enemies and bosses are another story. Each boss usually has a gimmick or a superpower. All mobs use their 2hours. At maximum 200 force, each army brings their region's HNM to the battle, along with every superboss from the previous levels.
The zone capacity for players is 700, they put this in place when they realized besieged was really popular. With more than 700 people in zone, along with a hundred NPC fighters, and 200 enemies, it became somewhat ridiculous to try and move your character around. Lag is an issue in fights with 600+ members but besides that it runs pretty smoothly, besides the fact that you occasionally get blown up by an enemy that hasn't loaded on your screen, haha. They also started giving temporary items that greatly boost your abilities and make it easier to survive alone in besieged. The items you get are based on which NPC are in town and which are currently held prisoner by the beastmen.
Speaking of prisoners. When an npc is taken in battle they are put in a cell in that beastman stronghold. To free them you must kill beastmen in that area for a key and pop the cell like you would a coffer or chest. If the Astral Candescence is lost it must be reclaimed by fighting a BCNM against a group of pissed off beastmen.
I posted some screens of besieged in the SS section but I can't send new ones since my ps2 died and pol gives me some crap about the email.
Anyway that's besieged I HOPE YOU LIKE IT OMAHGAH
