Em, I just got my hands on a subbed version of this movie, and I was wondering if anyone has seen this and the first. lol

I've seen them both. Want my opinion before spoil it for you?

Ya, I have the Special Edition DVD for the first that I really loved (supposedly 10 minutes longer than original). Before I use all of my streamload downloads this month, I kinda wanna know what I'm getting myself into with the second. I heard it was silly.

actually, i think they are very violent movies in the sense of 'reality shows gone too far'. (Using miscreant students as their contestants)

well the 2nd one is just....terrible. it has no real connection to the first one and honestly feels like you are watching a 4 year-old's imagination. all of a sudden a war starts and well...blah. was nowhere near as enjoyable as the first, but i suppose you need to watch it for yourself to see.

these are japanese movies (subtitled) about high school age kids fighting to the death on an island. last one alive wins, but if there is more than 1 person alive when the game time runs out (yes, its a game) then they all get killed. very strange premise to the movie but its funny in a sick way.
