I guess today MS did their first public demo of windows 8, and are going to periodically release these official videos regarding it.
Granted, this is the version specifically designed for tablets, but at least that version looks good.



I like the metro carry over, even if its not quite as pretty as a lot of fan mock ups, it still looks very nice. The fluid transistion between media is impressive too, although made me slightly motion sick after a while lol.

My only negative impression was how awkward it looked when it switched from metro to a windows 7 looking layout. Ive heard and seen that all windows will use the ribbon bar which looks even more clutter mess compaired to the metro layout that you just transitioned from. I'm really not a fan of ribbon bar, Ket can protest to that lol. Hopefully though the awkward metro to standard windows thing will be tweaked in a final release. Looking forward to more videos to come, and hope they show off more pc centric stuff.

Does it still get blue death screen?
