To be honest, the thought of coming back crossed my mind more than once (I miss everyone), but I tend to spend way too much time online when I get involved in a MMO.

We all played on Trabia. Last few times I logged on I was all alone. Kioko was the last person I saw still playing with any sort of seriousness. I imagine a bunch of us will check it out again once 1.21 hit.

I didn't even renew my subscription lol. I stopped playing after 2.5 weeks of trying to camp those random events. It upset me that I paid for a month of "exclusive content" and it wasn't even made available for me to participate in. Doesn't really help that no one logs on, or does log on but are basically members of other linkshells. Even if the random events didn't exist, I couldn't do anything in game without a group of friends anyway /forever alone. I'm wary of being burned so much in this game I'm hesitant to even try most the achievements. I'll do some insane amount of work just for them to be made easy as pie later on with a better reward, like everything else I've ever done.

2.0 will be awesome, the current running version is still kinda derped. They're slowly weeding out the retarded ideas Tanaka based the game on. But I'd be lying if I said some of the things Yoshi has done lately isn't also short-sighted.

i'm still pretty active in xiv (trabia), but yeah most ppl arent atm. moogle's about the only thing to do besides craft until 1.21 but i'm hoping all the stuff in that patch will be as good as it sounds.

When I quit the game last month, it was virtually impossible to start a pick up group (Cornelia). I can count on one hand the number of person I've seen while leveling...hell, I only partied once and it was to complete a lv25 totorak duo..

I would rather drop a hammer on my dick than level crafting again. There is a reason why my highest craft was at 20 in FFXI...and they managed to make it worse.

The language barrier wasn't that noticeable, but that could've been because we dealt with people who worked with the exchange program. But most places we went to had English signs up, and a lot of restaurants had English menus. I will definitely be going again in the next few years.
