based on that last shot its pretty clear madi's team had the far better white mage.

fuck you krell haha, try being slept 90% of the time on my drg and CCing 90% of the time on my blm ;p All that pld had to do was run around whaling the only person who wasn't being slept lol

I noticed that on both teams the PLD did way more damage than the rest of their team. I wonder why that is, because I doubt PLDs actually out damage people. Do they just spend less time running away and more time actually attacking people? Might make PLD more useful for PvP than I thought.

Ket, youre probably right. PVP is all about being able to kill someone else faster than they can kill you. I would assume PLD are one of the hardest and most time consuming Jobs to kill.

I almost wish they didn't put PvP in since there's going to be a shitload of whining which might cause SE to start fucking around with jobs just to try to balance them for PvP and thus most likely breaking them for PvE; unless they're somehow not stupid and instead modify abilities so that they act differently in a PvP environment vs PvE.

Keep in mind, everything was very unbalanced in P4 and will be changing for release. I expect there will be higher resistance to sleep for one.

Ninja edit: I think SE already addressed that somewhere Kayne... not sure how they are going to do it, but it shouldn't impact PvE.

Kayne: Yoshi said many times PVP and PVE abilities are balanced completely separately IIRC. That means things like sleep are going to work a bit different vs a player or a mob. This is standard with MMOes nowadays. Also we will have pvp only abilities to break out of sleep and the like.

Anyways, we can't really speculate at the moment as we aren't sure what the pvp abilities will be like. This was just a raw test for how well we can land hits, or something, according to SE.

As it was in p4, the tanks were outdamaging DPS because the DPS are either being slept, or CCing, and tanks could just freely whack people the whole fight.

It won't work this way on release in 2.1 (because of said pvp abilities being added), however I predict tanks will be a strong pvp class, as it took my drg ages to kill a pld, and I wasn't able to do it on my own lol, meanwhile he was hurting me pretty bad.

The best PLD armor right now is the heavy darklight. That cool looking bulky armor that 3/4 of our server seems to have.

The best that looks like that AF is the AF2. Go to mordona and talk to the NPC at Camp Revenants Toll. You can see all of the DoW runestone AF2 armor there. I'm not sure if anybody mined the dat files on character models yet but I bet it looks good.
