I'm relatively sure that most of the true Japanese LS's probably don't much care for KFC. I know a lot of the Japanese LS's have gotten their fill of HNM's on this server and spend time doing other things whereas KFC still camps this stuff nonstop everyday. Kinda made me sick that they stood by like vultures ready to pounce if we wiped. I'm just so glad we wasted their time these last few days because its just a drop in a very large bucket of what we've been through.

I know a lot of the Japanese LS's had a policy of if another LS gets claim and wipes that they raise them and random for the next chance at the NM. KFC was poised and prepared to move in for the killshot and I saw that with my own eyes... which is frickin pathetic... I won't even pretend I know anyone in KFC but these guys need to get it in their head that their making this game extremely frustrating for everyone else... get to level 75 and then what? Sit at a camp and get outpulled by the same LS no matter the time or day...

Grats CKD!

We (Valour) actually went hoping to claim fafnir if it popped, but once our first guys zoned in and told us you were fighting Nidhogg... well, the rest of us had to go see . =P

We stayed for a while, took some screenies then warped out. Hopefully we didnt lag it too bad... Sucks to see that no body abjs dropped, but i'm sure you're all just as proud of your titles anyways :P

Yeah lag got kinda bad near the end, I did a search of the area at one point and there was 58 people in the Aery... lol Add the spectators and KFC constantly rebuffing and we had some pretty bad lag and I know me and Ket were spamming the crap out of all our abilities cause our BLMs and RNGs were doing some crazy damage. As for drops, I was really hoping Rein's Earthen Abj. Body woulda dropped... and, I won't lie, a Marital Abj. Body woulda been nice too...

I'm supremely proud of not only our LS but the people that came and helped. Myshkal, Haldear and Corwin, thank you all a ton, we could not have done it without your assistance!

What amazed me was how easily you lot did it, i think the maximum we had dead was two people at once, and i never realy felt like we were in too much danger of loosing.

I don't really have much more to add that hasn't already been said. Grats to everyone on winning the fight and Hcc and Rein on drops.

I hate to speak for FS as a whole but I can say that everyone online yesterday was very happy for you guys as well. FS has your back when the 'vultures' are around and when the pop windows fall back into our LS's more 'noctural' primetime (lol) so we can actually camp these ourselves, we know you would do the same. Much <3 all around.

Has the new patch which causes monsters to appear dead first and then come to life made a difference for this kind of thing? I haven't been on a camping run against these guys in quite a while so I wonder if that change messes their claims up.

We actually got lucky. Nidhogg popped on the third day after patch. Its very very very rare that nidhogg would pop then so KFC only had people watching for the timer since the Behemoth timer was overlapping.

KFC has been spread thin as of late with alot of the older members gone and alot of new ones. They dont have the numbers anymore to camp all three gods at once.

Yea, unless u have some major irl issues that wont be resolved by the time FFXI is outdated, then I suggest u dont delete your character... I mean lets face it, there WILL be a day were NAs on our server will get Kings and HQ Kings often. Just have to be patient enough to wait it out. If you ever want to quit, then quit for 3 months, but DONT delete your character! After those 3 months renew ur account for 1 month (its only 12 bucks) then cancel it again. That way u basically bought a 3 month extension for only 12 bucks...

If we keep Kings/hnms away fron KFC the LS will Fall apart and that Ls is based on greed so they won;t Stick around to have fun with Each other. the LS will just break.

Is Nidhogg hard or just a hard spawn to get? (Hard relative to gods, fafnir, ect)

he is Hard. he Dose Mighty Strikes Randomly. and pretty Sure it Stacks on his AOEs b/c they hurt lol. Basicly more HP better Regen and hits harder lol

imo, the hardest HNM in the game is Nidhogg. Takes alot of practice thats all. Lucky we had fafnir down to an art.

Well, KFC got Nidhogg yesterday since noone was around to compete with them... they also got Fafnir three days in a row after we killed Nidhogg. So Talisin's idea of keeping HNMs from them isn't going to work unless we all quit school, jobs, and any semblance of a life outside of a video game.

Oh yeah, and the day we went to Fafnir after we killed Nidhogg KFC was there of course and got the pull before it even rendered on anyone's screen. I actually was able to target Fafnir before the model appeared on my screen, but the name text was of course purple by the time I tried to claim it.

To be fair, I've seen some of their members fuck up and pull stuff that wasn't the HNM, but I'm still curious as to what Rao's stupid "hahaha (chance)" macro means if it isn't some sort of immature way he likes to brag about us having no chance of claiming something that he has his Superultraomghiimupatfiveamcampingahnmthatnoneofusreallyneedanythingfrom bot set to claim before it even appears on screen.
