I agree to some extent; however the memories/moments of today shape what happens in the future. Are all those moments in life simply fleeting? I'm speaking in a strictly behavioral sense.

Oh and to not change topic-

I have to agree with ss on that, the past shapes us. To we are and to what we will become. Looking forward is good yarr, but remembering your past to help you build a better future is also extremely important.

I never said to forget the past. I just said that life isnt in the past. That life is whats happening now and whats going to happen tomorrow. I agree everyone has to learn from the past. my point is that getting sentimental is just a form of not being able to let go of the past, and that a broken heart is just a side effect of being sentimental.

Forget about it mikey.

No one knows better than I do. The fact-of-the-matter is that getting worked up over events in our lives we can control (the past) wont do anything. So rather than focus on what "could have happend" or what "you could have done". You should worry about what youre "going to do" and how. Trust me Mikey.
