Anyway, yeah most of the higher end ws are non-elemental based, so I guess the true purpose of them would be to enhance certain items like.. I think the Rai Kunimitsu has some damage bonus on firesday. The elemental rings from avatars would be hot for some jobs like wind ring for nin (evasion if they need it.) , or fire ring for ranger (ranged attack +15 or whatever)

I love SAM. One of my best friends in the game is a Mithra SAM (Trizin) he has great equip and plays well. We have been exping together since lvl 65ish and I have never liked any melee DD more. <3 SAM. They tear it up in exp parties.

I know This is one of the thing that annoy me the most with rng. I need some sort of "ranged attack bot" :D As for tanking with rng, ranged macro and recast is indeed a pain.


As for melee, if they are played correctly, none of them suck. They can all get at least 5k-6k/hour PT which isn't too bad. However, only rng and mnk seem to be able to break this limit.

No. From what I've gathered they only enhance the bonuses you get during those days. In other words, the random 10% bonus to lightning spells on lightningsday would happen on every cast instead of some while wearing the lightning obi.

Corwin you have one of these right?

Giving the full effect on the day only would make sense, otherwise I imagine the quest to be even more of a pain in the ass than it already is.

If that's the case... have I mentioned how much I hate conditional gear?

I have two of the obis, fire and wind. And I don't know the actual % Kaylia. I just remember someone mentioning a 10% dmg bonus on another forum.

Someone need to disable Kaylia smileys.

Dont even need Ni really to tank exp mobs on WAR =p. Utsu 1 is good enough dmg reduction to duo IT stuff with a whm or rdm even at lv 70+.




From personal experience all the ranger ive pted with have never parsed particaularly high.

Kayne on MNK, Me on NIN tanking, kaylia on war with great axe, jong using crossbow i think.

But anyway, i didn't have uber gear and stuff. The huge problem with crossbow is the delay which is particularly big. Really can't match with MNK and their kick attacks, triple attacks etc.
Rng kinda need to put merit to max rapid shot and get af2 body to overcome the huge delay on crossbow. Then maybe, they will rock.

Because our rng buy cheap bolt with their crossbow :P Need them to use Gun with real bullet.

And about Utusemi: ni it's useful but i cant tank with it alone, I need utsusmi: ichi.

Yea kaylia wasnt level 75 at the time i dont think.

Yea NIN has pretty good DPS; i wasnt even wearing all offensive gear and tanking/utsu garbage slows you down a decent amount.

Skye on war/nin with ridill probably matches kaynes damage =p. both are a real bitch to hold aggro from haha.
