Well, Arlania did level WHM to 7x and had that taken away, so I guess this is the universe's way of evening things out.

I think Alps was crying irl when he lost that lot, haha, I really wanted him to get those gloves. Hes been one of the main pullers in every HappyHumans raid. Actually, he has been to every raid. Oh well ... FFXI is a fickle mistress, grats Kioto's charecter =P

k sorry I thought it was Arthars' raid irl Razz

Yeah, HappyHumans is a LS of CSB. Arthar's farming Dynamis LS is called IceRaiders I think.

Unfortunately, the AF2 drop rate is very poor in Xarcabard and Beaucedine. I've done those zones many times and on average only 1-2 pieces drop in Xarcabard and Beaucedine. There is no way to satisfy the current demand for AF2s from those zones with the flood of new players getting jobs to 75 everyday.

However, unlike abjuration from King HNMs, everyone has a shot at obtaining AF2 as long as they are there.

I'm curious how well that raid went, because I like Xarca. Razz

Getting an AF 5 minutes into the zone is just plain lucky. How far did you actually get in?

The raid was absolutely insane.

We had like at least four complete wipes. Two of those were on one of the first three pulls. We pushed through though, it was wild. We managed to get up past where the Telepoint crystal was and kill a few more mobs after we took out some Demon NMs, like the Duke and Marquisate before time ran out. Not bad getting halfway through on HH's first run. This raid really needs 64 people, even though aggro is sensitive, you just have to zerg rush the hell out of some pulls it seems. Pulls usually rang up 9 demons, not including pets or eyes.

It was incredible though, unforgettable. I have some screenshots I can pull out.

The reason I love Xarcabard so much is that it's not about fighting swarms of mobs over and over, it's about knowing what you're doing, and what you're up against. It turns Dynamis from the usual boring zerg-fest into a more strategic battle, like Fafnir.

Our first two raids there were a mess, like you said, but yeah, a really damn fun mess, lol. More recently we know about all the little tricks to the zone when it comes to where you have to go and what to pull, and it really reduces the death count 10-fold, lol.

Yeah, 90% of this raid was like first timers, so I'd imagine we'll only get better. I really want to play this zone more.

You'll want to just do Xarcabard non-stop, but then all the people who don't have access to Xarcabard will bitch and complain at you, lol.

Oh, here are those screenshots I promised.

Even in Xarcabard, people still sometimes have trouble sleeping Avatars, there was another page to this death list but I didn't frap it, haha

Death march, how Arthars is still alive, I'll never figure out.

The Duke and Count about to get their asses kicked.

Final Fight! What a wall of demons looks like before pull.

And to hi-jack this thread more...Arlania/Kioto wasn't the only person to get AF2. I got a Saotome Kabuto and that makes me the first non-JP sam to get it on this server as far as I know.
