This is a place for people to rant about how much they hate their jobs.

Let me start.

I work at a stupid video store and spend at least half of an 8 hour shift arguing with customers about late charges. And I'm sick of it. I don't care why its late. I don't care if you hate to pay late charges. I don't care if you hated the movie. I don't care if you say you dropped it off on time because you didn't. I just want to scream, "if you don't want late charges return your fucking movie on time."

And as much as I hate working, I have to because I need the hours. But all I get is 16 hours a week because all the hours are going to a guy that lost $300 of the store's money. That's right, instead of writing him up or suspending him, we give him all the fucking shifts he wants, and don't schedule him for the weekends. Instead, I have to work Friday and Saturday night, and get a measly 16 hours a week.

Oh, and some genious decides we need to hire another full time person over the summer, despite the fact that we have five supervisors willing to kill each other in order to get more hours.

Anyways, feel free to join in.

I'm frustrated with my company as well. The management at my company is extremely lazy. I cannot count on them to act on or even reply to any of my improvement suggestions (I have 73 suggestions and counting). The only thing I can rely on is that they will become defensive and argumentative with me and with each other. I practically carry these people on my back right now. Unfortunately, they probably won't have half a sense to regret it when I leave.

I work at a medical laboratory where we perform tests like HIV, pregnancy, STD, blood cell count, marijuana count, etc.

actually i went to college for 2 years in the astrophysics program, and then i needed to work for a while to save up money, so i got into the medical lab business for lab experience.

but, my passion is still in astronomy, physics, and math, so i am going back to school in the fall.

Wow, that's amazing! I had physics and grade 10 and I hated it so much. I never took another physics class after that. I was traumatized, and it was only grade 10!

as for physics, i was already inclined towards science and math, but the reason i enjoy physics is because of the first physics teacher i had, professor matheison. the 2nd teacher, however, was completely awful, and if i had him first, i wouldn't have picked physics i bet.

I thought we were supposed to be angry about work?

For instance; "they" are taking me from my 3p-11p M-F shift and putting me in my old position with a new 7p-7a shift on an alternating schedule, while the guy who was so lazy in my current position that they had to promote me gets to keep his regular hours! Cool! I cant wait til school starts and I go deep into a coma from stress and no sleep.

Plus the WB cancelled Angel!!



All would be better if Yarr would put a few Angel & Buffy Avatars in the fiction section... :idea:

I had to edit out why since I don't trust anybody reading this forum. suffice it to say its an extremely stupid reason considering how little I do, and the fact i have 0 responsability for anything.

omg i hate my freaking job so much! i get payed crap and b/c i'm the guy that likes to joke around (while i work most the time) and all the mangers and dumb kids that think they are so tough start to yell at me and crap like screw that omg calm down u work at freaking Mcdonalds shut the hell up. It's serously just like that movie "Office Space" when ever i screw up i have 5 ppl telling me what i did wrong. And b/c i'm the one that is loud and funny at work (while i work) they always try to make a example out of me all the time getting me to do the dirt jobs.

Ask Taoh they seroulsy treat me like crap. but i do admit when taoh is working with me i just stand by him and talk about FFXI for my whole shift lol. but they yell at me all the time. Grrrrr

I work on a TV show at Universal and GE/NBC just bought Universal and now we are NBC Universal. Im guessing because GE is a Govt contractor and very corporate the IT guys came around upgraded everyone to XP and locked the computers down tight. Now I can't install ANY program. I can't even change the duration of my screen screen saver. They force us to use their computers and yet lock them down so you can't do anything. Corporate America Blows!!!!
