Thinking about the old days makes me laugh sometimes. I remember leveling whm my first time, going with rdm SJ for the longest time since I had leveled that to 21 first, then switching to blm after 30s. I remember using Onyx (+2mp) rings until 40 because I didn't own astrals then, and it made me so happy when I finally bought electrums and had a decent mp amount. When I was 58 I tagged along with some others doing WHM AF3 that were nice enough to let me come. It was a full alliance with a 70 rdm (Shadowstalker ) tanking the mob, haha. Took me til level 63 and a shit load of key camps to get my AF gloves. I remember doing alliances for rng af3, drg af3 and rdm af3. A few weeks back, I did both whm af3 for a friend and thf af3 for myself with only 4 people. It's kinda sad how easy it all is now.

I may not be an oldbie like the rest of you, but i have had similar experiences. One for example was when i was level 51 and in an exp pt. We were all talking about how none of us had our AF2 done, so we decided to stop exping and go do all our AF2 quests. This was great, especially because i couldn't find any help to get to Castle Baileys in the past. We end up doing WHM, PLD, RDM (af1 and key for af2), and another job which i can't remember. Then it finally came time to domy AF2, with another BLM friend i invited, but by that time it was late and they all had to go... It really sucked. Eventually i got it completed by going on coffer key pts and begging them to pull mobs from below.

I have also had experiences where people have asked me to do AF3, coffer keys etc. but they don't know where to go or what to do. Not only this, but they want me to look up what we have to do for something that they need. I could find it understandable if they didn't own a computer, but mostly everyone has access to a computer these days (be it library, a friends etc.)

Yeah...new THF these days are just awful. It scares me whenever I pass EXP PTs that have a THF, and he uses Gust Slash instead of Viper Bite, or Viper Bite without SATA lol.

This is why I started leveling BST. I knew that I'd get really frustrated with PT members since they're so friggin spoiled!

It was hella hard doing so much stuff when i was a noob. And that's what made us all stronger as players, unfortunately, bad times make you learn, and that whole nine, lol.
