Whoah... not reeeeally sure where that came from. Anyway, yep, I'm bored These customers aren't even putting up a fight anymore. This guy I just talked to just got his phone yesterday and it won't charge. The store person told him that he just needed to charge it (duh, it wont charge), so he goes to his car to charge it. It won't charge (duh, it wont charge). The person tells him that the car has to be on for the cigarette lighter adapter to charge the phone (no it doesn't....) so he goes back to his car, starts the car, and tries to charge the phone. It won't charge (gee, what do you know... it WONT CHARGE) .... Stupid people.

Anyway, I told him to tell the rep at the store that they Will replace it under warranty, cause THEY gave him a bad phone. Otherwise, they can call us and tell us why it is that a phone he got YESTERDAY and has done NOTHING to is just suddenly not working at all. Gee.... I bet his phone gets replaced, the store hates to call us for something like this. LOL Cause we always win the argument :D

At least you dont work in the restrunt buiness people suck when it come to food lol i work at japaness restrunt i am the grill cook up at the sushi bar and one day i got a huge party like 15-16 orders i was like mommy i was cooking it and some customer comes up to me and start yelling at me cause the sushi is taking so long and he ordered from the grill and he was tired of waiting and wanted me to start his now i looked at him and i said "sir i will start it as soon as i can if you cant tell i am kind of busy." omg he walked away pissed lol i really dont care cause i want to destory the grill i hate it. I am the only grill cook there is another but he is "managment" not reallly tho he was just given a title lol and he yells at me when i go sit in the office and read my school books when i dont have ANY orders he wants me to stand next to the grill incase something comes in.......I get to stang right next to that 350 degree grill for 6 hours and cook wooho. oh the best part is when he is the cook he does the order walks in the back and opens a freaking magazine wtf is that

My rant for the day: Schedules....

Our scheduling system sucks. They really mess things up. We're in a Call Center, so we have to stick with the schedule provided, as close as is possible. Up to and including breaks.

My first complaint about it is the hours. I can work any time from 9am (open) until 8pm (close is 9:30, but I got sick of staying until close every night..hehehe). Some days, I go in to work at 1pm and leave at 8pm. Some days, I go in at 9am and leave at 5pm (such as today). It's really irritating to get home late and go in early the next day....

The second, and greater of two evils, is about the breaks. The way the system schedules it, it's kinda random. Some days, like today, are nice and they schedule it like 2hrs, break, 2hrs, lunch, 2hrs, break, 2hrs, time to go home. Some days, on the other hand, like this past Saturday, they schedule me for 3hrs, break, 15mins, lunch, 3hrs, break, 2.5hrs, time to go home. Tell me they couldn't break up those two 3hrs portions and put the extra time on that 15 minutes. Really, that's ridiculous!

Ok, I'm done with my rant for today.

Yeah, Raise is an unspeakable word at work. I think the last time I got a raise at my last job was a 1% raise. Nice... It amounted to about 11 cents an hour raise. /slap That's insulting, to me. I almost told 'em to go shove their raise. Fortunately, it was only a month or so later that I had the above mentioned story about quitting from Sprint anyway. Hah... morons!

Sprint was good about the breaks though. Sure, you might be working a 10hr day, but the breaks were at least evenly spread out.... *shrugs*

I worked for the Bristol, Virginia call center. Except I lived in Tennessee, but they STILL took the VA State Income tax out of my check! /fume... The government got to earn interest on *my* money until it came tax season.... /fume!

I am a consultant from Capgemini working at Sprint headquarter in Kansas City atm. I am with IT group here. Do you guys get jabber too?

ehhh Jabber? lol I don't believe so. But then again, I don't know if anything may have changed recently--I quit in Sept '03. The term doesn't ring a bell though.

I liked working at Sprint. I didn't mind the customers, most of them just wanted their problems fixed (be it telling them how much to pay to get service on, reactivating accounts, fixing screw-ups on our part, etc) ... But my main complaint was the management. Some of the supervisors were ok. Some were just assholes--such as my last supervisor before I left.

I won't name names (unless it'll get the sorry SOB fired.. hahaha I'd die for one shot at that!) but .. He was a complete jerk.

Okay, so I understand that there are a lot of people at my work looking for a lot of hours so I'm not going to work 25 hours a week like I had planned. But, seriously, if I'm going to work 15 fucking hours the least they could do is not book me both Friday and Saturday night!!! I bet the two of the guys bitched so much they don't have to work the weekend at all. I mean, they're part time just like the rest of us but they think they deserve special treatment. But they don't!!

That's, unfortunately, the way this world works. The whiners get their way because no one wants to hear them whine.

People sue McDonalds for stupid shit. Like the coffee, come on. Who's so stupid as to *NOT* know that your coffee is going to be hot? Ridiculous! I don't want a cold cup of coffee, that's nasty stuff cold! And yet someone sues for it, and McDonalds, instead of saying "Duh.. have a little common sense" they say "Hey, now we don't want any bad publicity, pay them off." and the whiner walks away with a burned tongue and a couple million no doubt.

And the average people are like that. Except there's three kinds of people:
- Whiners
- People like the above that don't want to listen so they give in
- People like us (that want to beat the hell out of the whiners and let them suffer for a bit before killing them, that way we never have to deal with them again----whoah...kinda got out of hand there...uhhhhh yeah)

So, what to do about them? Only thing you can do is open your own business and have a "no whiners" policy.... Otherwise, the #2 people will support the #1 people (whiners) and their habit of cry-babying around all the time. We'll never be rid of them. Damn them all!

Anyway, yeah, I agree. Anything to make the customer happy. But that's why we have this "Customer is always right" bullshit, and people try to take advantage of it. Like my previous ranting.

Actually, we have a caller going around now like that. She called the first time, said the phone was stolen at the pool or something. We told her to get a police report, and she didn't want to. So she called back, said her phone was dropped in the pool and wasn't working. We told her she still needs a police report. She keeps calling back. I know of 3 calls at least that she's made about the phone.

No really. My store might actually prostitute me out if they thought that it would stop a customer complaint. When mean customers come to the till I'm the on that gets sent to take care of them (which means smile, bat my eyelashes, and act sweet).

To be quite honest, that's disturbing and quite frankly disgusts me....

At least with what I do, if I don't feel the customer is right, I don't have to do anything for them, and no one can make me.
On the other hand, most people that get ahold of a supervisor get what they want. Unless there's a specific reason why they can't, such as that they have no insurance at all. /sigh...

Sucks to talk to a supervisor and be told no claim, and then you transfer the customer to that same supervisor and they file a claim, just to shut the customer up and get 'em off the phone. That really irritates the hell out of me. Thanks for agreeing with me to my face and siding with the customer behind my back--that makes me feel real good. At least tell me you're going to go behind my back. The worst is when they tell you to go ahead and file the claim when you know it's wrong.

When I worked at Sprint, I had numerous times where I didn't feel the customer deserved credit for their bill for anything, and the supervisor said "Go ahead, give them the credit..." and I say "no.. I'm not putting that under my name, if you feel they deserve it, you issue the credit. But I don't think it's right, and I won't do it."

Okay, I need to rant about my hair.

My hair is curly/wavy and there is LOTS of it. I hate my hair more than anything else that I have ever hated in my entire life. I spend so much time straightening my hair that it kills me. And on days when I'm too lazy to straighten my hair, I get depressed because I hate how my hair looks naturally.

So, I got out of the shower at 11:45, and I ripped through my hair with a comb to get all the tangles out (because I've had my hair curly for the past couple of days because I was lazy). Then I put a handfull of straightening product in my hair, towel dry, and come down to the computer for 15 minutes to let my hair dry a bit (because if I tried to dry it right out of the shower without product it would take at least 7 days). Anyways, by the time I go up to blowdry may hair, its already starting to curl. So I spent 25 minutes under the blowdryer and my hair is finally mostly dry. But it doesn't end there. No I have to wait for my hair to cool down to make sure it is completely dry. And when I'm sure it is completely dry, I break out the straightening iron, and turn it up so it is extemely hot and then I will spend ten minutes straightening my hair with an iron that is so hot there is steam coming off my hair. And then my hair will be straight, the way it SHOULD BE. I look so much better with my hair straight, its unbelievable.

Like, with my hair curly, I look pretty good. But with my hair straight, I look the best. If my hair was naturally straight my life would be so much easier. 1. Because I wouldn't have to waste 45 min - an hour of my day straightening it 2. Because I would always look awesome. I would be way more motivated if my hair was straight because I would always feel confidant that I looked good. But no. My hair is stupid and curly.
